On 3 February San Biase celebrates its patron Saint Blaise with the so-called «rite of bread and wine», in which the sacred and the profane meet: in the morning the children and young people of the town hand out the traditional blessed loaves and Mass is celebrated with the rite of the anointing of the throat, while on the evening before and on the day of the feast itself the game of morra is played, accompanied by wine, often the local Tintilia.
The other major festivities fall in August, on the 14th in honour of the co-patroness Saint Pia, on the 15th with the Palio degli Asini between the four districts, held until 2013, and on the 16th with the sagra of sagne pasta and fireworks displays; further days dedicated to Saint Pia are held on 12 and 13 September.
