The patron saint of Spinete is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June, the day of his birth. The church dedicated to him stands in the hamlet of the same name, San Giovanni, one of thirteen hamlets that, together with the main town and the hamlet of Piana, make up the municipality; many of these saw considerable growth after Italian unification, when crown lands were divided up and assigned to working-class families.
The town also preserves the church of Santa Maria Assunta, of ancient origin and built according to medieval settlement patterns next to the castle-palace, and that of San Pietro Apostolo. The baronial palace, from the 16th century but likely built on an older Norman stronghold, conceals a fine inner courtyard with a loggia, where a carved figure of a mermaid with a double tail can be admired.
