The patron of Toro is San Mercurio: for the patronal feast of 26 August, dedicated to the saint, the church named after him is a destination for pilgrims.
The Convento 'Santa Maria di Loreto', founded in 1592, was entrusted to the Friars Minor Franciscans, who still run it today; the church houses statues, such as the fifteenth-century Madonna della Tenerezza. The municipality also holds the Chiesa del Santissimo Salvatore.
