The patron of Baldichieri d'Asti is Saint Secundus of Asti, celebrated on 2 May, to whom the Chiesa di San Secondo is dedicated.
The municipality takes part in the Palio di Asti, the bareback horse race run in Piazza Vittorio Alfieri: its first modern participation dates from 1988, but a Baldichieri team, the Beata Concezione di Baldichieri, had already won the 1793 Palio with the jockey Reboà; its best recent results are the victory in the Palio dei Comuni in 2019 and second place in 1994.
