Isola d'Asti celebrates Saint Catherine on 25 November, in the church dedicated to her.
The village's arms, granted in 1929, show neither a saint nor a hill: they show one building, the medieval civic tower, adapted at some point as the bell tower of the parish church of San Pietro, and doing that job ever since.
The main settlement is not called Isola but Isola Piano; around it lie Mongovone, Villa, Repergo, Chiappa and Molini, and the Turchino trunk road runs through.
