Mongrando celebrates Our Lady of Mount Carmel on 16 July.
The territory of Mongrando comes down the last slopes of the hills that fall from the Mombarone and the Serra towards the Biella plain. The Elvo crosses it with its tributaries Viona and Ingagna; the Ingagna is dammed to form a lake that spills west into the comuni of Graglia and Netro. Part of the comune lies inside the Bessa park, which protects here an old fortified structure, the castelliere of Mongrando.
On the arms there is a tree that today's descriptions call a medlar, but with a perhaps; the historic blazon of 1934 said it without hesitating: a medlar plant, uprooted and in fruit. The arms in use were granted in 2000.
