Castiglione Tinella lives off its vines, and the grape in charge is moscato, the one that becomes Moscato d'Asti. Among the same hills, since 2018, a group of olive growers have worked together and given the village name to an oil, the Olio di Castiglione. The best known figure from here is Virginia Oldoini, Countess of Castiglione: her fame and the village's ended up merging.
The village sits along a ridge, its houses stepping down between the vineyards, its bell towers visible from far off. There are three churches: the parish church of Sant'Andrea, the sanctuary of the Madonna del Buon Consiglio and the small church of San Carlo.
