Feast of Saint Nicholas
📅 Every year, on 6 December
On 6 December Farigliano celebrates its patron Saint Nicholas; in the first week of December the town holds the Fiera dei puciu e di San Nicolao, dedicated to the local medlar fruit.
Farigliano is a Bassa Langa village in the province of Cuneo, with the Tanaro running below and houses scattered outside the centre, at Masanti, Mellea, Moncucco, Naviante and Viaiano. Of the medieval castle only a few remains are left.
In November 1994 the river burst its banks and the lower village was wrecked; the flood took down the Ponte Maccagno, which held Farigliano and Piozzo together. Around here medlars are called puciu, the fruit of the common medlar tree of the Bassa Langa.
