The patroness of Castellamonte is the Madonna del Carmine, celebrated on 16 July.
The town is known for ceramics and for its stoves: the first terracotta ones probably go back to the 16th century, though neither examples nor documents survive, and in the 18th century the «franklin» appeared here, the first terracotta fireplace with air circulation and a visible fire, which made the fame of the local ceramics. With central heating the production almost disappeared, until in 1957 a local craftsman, Elio Savio, relaunched the stove as a quality product. Between late August and early September comes the Ceramics Exhibition; from its 1995 edition dates the arch by Arnaldo Pomodoro in the Rotonda Antonelliana.
