Strambino lies in the Canavese, on hilly ground formed by the debris an ancient glacier left along the Serra di Ivrea. The old centre is still the medieval one, with narrow streets, and above the village stands the castle, grown in different periods out of a first core of the eleventh century.
The church of Santi Michele e Solutore was designed by Carlo Andrea Rana and built between 1764 and 1786: seen from above, its plan has the shape of a frog. Towards Romano Canavese stands Santa Maria delle Vigne, which everyone calls the Madonna delle Vigne, medieval in date and later rebuilt in baroque forms.
