The patronal feast of Venaria Reale falls on 14 August and is dedicated to Saint Eusebius. It is not merely a date in the calendar: on that day the ordinary business of the municipal offices and of the town services is suspended.
As deeply rooted as the patronal day are the celebrations of the Nativity of Mary, known locally as the feast of Maria Bambina, run by the parish of the same name. And there is the palio, documented at least since the 1980s: the thirty-sixth edition was run in 2022.
