Bishop Ingone names Peciana while speaking of the first church of San Pietro, and a diploma of Conrad II in 1028 makes it a fief of count Vallone of Casale; in the thirteenth century local consuls appear in the documents. In 1656 the Spanish burned houses, church and parish archive, and with it the first century of the registers.

The parish church of Sant'Eusebio, designed by Antonio Malinverni and consecrated in 1834, has a single nave: the dome rests on four columns that the architect dressed up as side chapels. On the road to Caresana stands a small chapel of the Madonna dei Sette Dolori, with a columned porch and a statue of Padre Pio outside.
