The patroness of Borore is the Beata Vergine Assunta (Blessed Virgin of the Assumption), celebrated on 15 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa della Beata Vergine Assunta.
The main traditional occasion is the feast of San Lussorio the martyr, celebrated twice a year: in April, with a ceremony that is almost exclusively religious, and in August with striking religious and civic festivities lasting three days (20, 21 and 22), followed by novenas at the country sanctuary dedicated to the saint. The other religious occasions are Sant'Antonio Abate and the tuva (the eve of 16 and 17 January), the rites of S'Iscravamentu and S'Incontru in Holy Week, the feast of Sant'Isidoro l'Agricoltore on the second Sunday of May, with a parade of tractors and other farm vehicles, and the feast of San Gavino on the first Sunday of October.
