In a little more than eight square kilometres there are seven nuraghi. One of them, Bruncu Suergiu, stands on the edge of the Giara, on the border with Genoni, and beside it the remains of a Punic and later Roman settlement have come to light.
All over Sardinia Sini is known for the festival of su pani saba, held on 25 April: it is the sweet bread made for Saint George, whose feast falls two days earlier. In the middle ages the village was in the judicate of Arborea; then it passed to the Aragonese, within the incontrada of Marmilla, and was a fief of the Carroz and then of the Centelles. Redemption came in 1839.
