Positioned 8 kilometres northwest of Catania and 160 kilometres southeast of Palermo, Camporotondo Etneo is a municipality in eastern Sicily. The town has 4,476 residents and is known locally in Sicilian as Campurutunnu Etneu.
Its territory borders the surrounding municipalities of Belpasso, Misterbianco, Motta Sant'Anastasia, and San Pietro Clarenza within the Metropolitan City of Catania.
