The patron saint of Piedimonte Etneo is Saint Ignatius of Loyola, celebrated on 31 July, followed by the local feast on the first Sunday of August. The occasion also offers the opportunity to take part in various local fairs, and until a few years ago was tied to the Trofeo di Sant'Ignazio, a major foot race in the area.
The town hosts every year the Estate Piedimontese, during which exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances and sports tournaments are held, and since 1998, at the end of September, the Festa della Vendemmia, which recalls the traditions tied to the grape harvest. Piedimonte Etneo also preserves the sanctuary of Santa Maria di Vena and the old Porta San Fratello.
