The patron of Malvagna is Saint Anne, celebrated on the last Sunday of July. The Chiesa Madre dedicated to her was built around 1930, after the demolition of the old one, and still houses her statue today: also during the Fascist era, the Castello dei Lanza was demolished, to build part of today's town hall in its place.
During the patronal feast, the town's most important events are concentrated, including the «Radici» popular culture festival, launched in 2006, and a dialect theatre festival, born in August 2007 from a tradition of amateur performances dating back to the 1970s, when small shows were first staged in a warehouse next to the church of Sant'Anna and later in the parish hall. The town also preserves the Byzantine cuba, a rare trichora-plan building, and the 18th-century little church of San Marco.
