The co-patrons of Montemilone are Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, celebrated on 26 December, and the Madonna Gloriosa del Bosco, protector of the town, celebrated on 11, 12 and 13 August.
The church of Santo Stefano is the town's mother and parish church: despite its relatively recent construction, it holds numerous 20th-century mural paintings and, above all, houses the precious statue of the Madonna del Bosco, a 13th-century wooden work carried to the Sanctuary of the Gloriosa precisely during the August patronal feast. The town's religious calendar marks the whole year, from the procession of the Blessed Sacrament on Corpus Domini to the feast of Saint Anthony of Padua on 13 June, through to the Immaculate Conception on 8 December.
