The patron of Castelpoto is Saint Constantius, celebrated on 14 May.
Red sausage is one of the town's most representative specialities, so much so that at the end of April it dedicates a well-known fair-market to it: pig farming, characteristic of the Sannio since antiquity, is still carried out in the traditional way, and the spotted-coated pigs are the ones used today for red sausage. The pittulo, a cornmeal flatbread eaten still warm, is eaten in quantity above all on 8 February, the feast of Saint Laureatus the Martyr.
