The patron saints of Ceriana are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June. The parish church dedicated to them began construction in 1768, being completed nearly two decades later: besides numerous paintings from the old parish church, it preserves a 1526 polyptych, by an unknown hand, depicting Saint Peter enthroned, considered the most valuable painting in the municipal territory. The earlier old church of Saints Peter and Paul, in Romanesque style, instead dates from the 11th and 12th centuries, although it was rebuilt in 1513.
On Good Friday, the town's confraternities, dressed in traditional garb, march in procession through the streets of Ceriana intoning the ancient penitential chants, while local choirs perform their own religious repertoire. Ceriana also venerates the Madonna della Villa, in the sanctuary of the same name along the Ghimbegna pass road, whose feast, on 9 September, includes a torch-lit procession and a mass on the sanctuary forecourt.
