The patron of Cesio is Saint Lucy, celebrated on 13 December, in the parish church dedicated to her in the historic centre of the main town: built in the late Baroque style, with a single nave, it preserves the ancient 15th-century baptismal font and some paintings datable between the 16th and 17th centuries.
Until 1585, however, Cesio's only parish church was another building, whose first structure dates from the 13th century: when the parish title was moved to the new church of Santa Lucia, the old building became a sanctuary, was enlarged to a single hall and preceded by a small portico during the 17th century, and today preserves an image of the Madonna dei Sette Dolori between saints John the Baptist and Mary Magdalene. The town also preserves the parish church of San Benedetto, in the hamlet of Arzeno d'Oneglia, whose exposed-stone bell tower is crossed by the pedestrian lane linking Piazza del Popolo to the church's small square.
