The patron of Alassio is Saint Ambrose, bishop of Milan, celebrated on 7 December. The church dedicated to him has been a parish since 1507: it has a Renaissance façade and a 14th-century Romanesque-Gothic bell tower, and inside it keeps works by 17th-century Genoese artists such as Bernardo Castello and Giovanni Andrea De Ferrari.
In the same town stands also the 18th-century Capuchin church, dedicated to Santa Maria Immacolata, with a Baroque altar in carved walnut wood and a pulpit from 1503.
