Olivetta San Michele sits at the western tip of Liguria, right on the border, and it keeps a heritage that belongs to both sides of it: the Occitan culture shared across a wide stretch of the Maritime Alps. In July the village gives it an evening of its own.
The music is live, on the instruments of the tradition — button accordion, bagpipes, wind instruments, fiddle — and the dancing is balfolk, where players and onlookers end up doing the same thing. The food side offers Occitan specialities. The edition of 18 July 2026, the twentieth, began at 8pm with the trio of Irene Gandino, Stefano Frisé and Enrico Pascal.
