The patron saint of San Bartolomeo al Mare is Saint Bartholomew, celebrated on 24 August, with the church dedicated to him. For centuries, every year on 2 and 3 February, the Fiera della Rovere, also called the Candlemas fair, has been held in the public areas near the sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Rovere: one of the oldest fairs in western Liguria, which has always drawn a considerable crowd of townspeople from the surrounding areas and lower Piedmont, coinciding with the solemn feast of the Purification, celebrated on the same date at the sanctuary.
The town also preserves the church of the Madonna della Neve, the Torre di Santa Maria and the church of the Divina Misericordia, as well as Villa Scofferi.
