The patron of Rivalta Bormida is Saint Dominic (San Domenico), celebrated on 4 August; during the celebrations of the patron saint the sagra dello zucchino (zucchini festival) is held, the village's typical vegetable.
The Pro Loco organises several sagre during the summer, including the famous «Rosticciata», which for more than forty years has been held on the last Saturday of July. The municipality holds the Palazzo Lignana di Gattinara.
