Villa del Bosco lies at the eastern edge of the Biella district, in the basin of the Rovasenda stream, and its geography takes explaining: the hamlet of Orbello is detached from the rest of the municipality, ringed by Sostegno, Roasio and Lozzolo. You reach it through Casa del Bosco, which is itself a piece of Sostegno cut off from its own commune.
The arms show a gold lion on green, gripping a gold key between its forepaws, wards upward. The castle is documented from 1431 and has stayed in private hands; the parish church of San Lorenzo became independent in 1500, having until then depended on Sostegno. A centuries-old chestnut stands near the cemetery.
