Rifreddo celebrates its patron saint, Aloysius Gonzaga (Luigi Gonzaga), on the third Sunday of July and not on the days coinciding with his feast, 21 June, because in the past people were busy at that time with the wheat harvest in the countryside around Saluzzo.
The feast of the Madonna della Neve, on the first Sunday of August at the sanctuary in the Devesio locality, is deeply felt; on the third Sunday of August San Bernardo is celebrated at the chapel on the Mombracco ridge. At the end of October «Le notti delle streghe» (the Nights of the Witches) takes place, a festival dedicated to magic and the occult that draws on the records of the 1495 witch trials, with an animated walk through the streets of the village and 4,000 to 5,000 visitors each year.
