The patrons of Alpette are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June; the municipality holds the Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo.
From 2004 to 2013 the Alpette Rock Free Festival was held in the village, a music event that drew thousands of young people from all over Piedmont and beyond, with camping available; since 2015 it has become the Apolide Rock Free Festival, in the small municipality of Vialfrè. In the 1980s the village staged a living nativity scene for a number of years: on the night of 24 December Alpette went dark and the only light came from the candles carried by the procession in costume, which walked the streets of the village in absolute silence to the stable set up in the main church.
