The patron saint of Oulx is Saint Roch, celebrated on 16 August.
Every year Oulx holds the Fiera Franca, which reached its 526th edition in 2020: the event is rooted in 1494, when the town was crossed by the armies of Charles VIII marching towards the Kingdom of Naples. The population had to make great sacrifices to supply provisions and fodder to the troops, and as a reward the king granted Oulx the right to hold an annual «free» fair at the end of summer, exempt from foreign taxes. More recently, it was established to be held every year on the first Sunday of October, when it enlivens the town with exhibitions, stalls, animals and food and wine products. The town also holds Fort Föens and the Torre Delfinale.
