The patron saint of Gioia del Colle is Saint Philip Neri, whose feast is celebrated from 25 to 27 May. The town's co-patron is Saint Roch of Montpellier, celebrated from 15 to 16 August, alongside the Palio delle Botti.
On Good Friday the Procession of the Sacred Mysteries of the Passion is held, while between April and May the town hosts the Chiediscena International Festival. Gioia del Colle also holds important historical landmarks, including the Norman-Swabian Castle and the Monte Sannace archaeological park.
