The patrons of Palo del Colle are the Holy Crucifix of Auricarro, celebrated on 3 May in the hamlet of the same name, and Santa Maria La Porta, celebrated on the third Sunday of September in the main town.
Every 15 June, Saint Vitus the martyr is also celebrated, with a procession carrying his statue. On Good Friday, a procession is also held with papier-mâché statues depicting the Way of the Cross, carried by the faithful through the town's streets. Among the finely crafted works held in the town is the Lecce-style papier-mâché statue of Saint Anthony of Padua, made in 1920.
