The patroness of Sorgono is Santa Maria Assunta, celebrated on 15 August; the village holds the Chiesa di Maria Vergine Assunta.
The municipality also holds the Chiesa di Nostra Signora d'Itria, the Nuraghe Lò and the Menhir di Biru 'e Concas. San Mauro Abate used to be celebrated three times a year: on 15 January (Santu Mauru de is Dolos, «Saint Maurus of the Sorrows»), on the Tuesday after Easter (Santu Mauru de is Frores, «Saint Maurus of the Flowers») and on the last Sunday of May (Santu Mauru Erriccu, «Rich Saint Maurus»); the main celebrations take place in the last week of May.
