The patron of Sardara is Our Lady of the Assumption, with co-patron Santa Maria de is Aquas, patron of the diocese of Ales-Terralba, celebrated on the second-to-last Monday of September.
The feast, among the largest and most striking on the whole island, lasts four days and draws tens of thousands of devotees and visitors. Santa Maria de is Aquas is also celebrated in May, during «sa festa de is pastoris» (the shepherds' feast), in a more modest tone compared to the September fair. The town also holds the Castello di Monreale and the Anfiteatro di Santa Maria Àcuas.
