The patron of Aci Sant'Antonio is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January in the mother church dedicated to him: an age-old cult, dating back to the late 16th century.
Every other year, in high summer, the town treats itself to the Festa Grande — in dialect Festa Ranni: the famous Sicilian carts drawn by horses parade through, illuminations light up the main streets, said to be among the largest in Sicily, and above all the cerei parade, depicting the saint's life and deeds, dedicated to the town's various categories of workers, starting with the farmers.
