The patron saint of Calatabiano is Saint George the martyr, celebrated on 23 April. The mother church, dedicated to Maria Santissima Annunziata, dates from 1740 and has a single nave, with the high altar topped by a cross.
The co-patron and protector of the town is Saint Philip the Syrian, in whose honour solemn celebrations are held every year in May with a packed programme of events. In the Lapide-Pasteria district, instead, stands the parish church of San Giuseppe, whose statue is kept there all year before the celebrations held in July. Calatabiano also preserves the castle of the same name, the Castello San Marco, and the church of Maria Santissima dell'Imperio.
