Perched 630 metres above sea level, Licodia Eubea overlooks the valley of the Dirillo river in eastern Sicily. Home to 3,047 residents in the Metropolitan City of Catania, the town occupies a ridge bordering several historical municipalities, including Caltagirone, Mineo, and Vizzini.
In the town center, 17th-century architecture takes center stage at the mother church of Santa Margherita, whose front portal displays the emblem of the Santapau family. Visitors can also see the 18th-century Church of the Rosario and the municipal palace, both prominent landmarks along the urban route.
