The patron saint of Monforte San Giorgio is Saint George the martyr, celebrated on 23 April in the cathedral dedicated to him. Among its works of art, the building holds a 1530 polyptych, bearing the inscription «Rosalibba 1530», depicting the Madonna and Child portrayed together with the Risen Christ, the Apostles, and several saints: among them, besides the patron Saint George the Martyr, appears the co-patron Saint Agatha, alongside Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint John the Evangelist, Saint Margaret, Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Emidius.
The town also preserves the church of San Francesco di Paola, linked to the convent of the Order of the Minims, and the castle overlooking the settlement, evidence of its medieval origins.
