Saint Erasmus, patron of the town founded by the Beccadelli in 1517
📅 Every year, on 2 June; on 18 March, every other year, a re-enactment of the 1517 founding
Capaci celebrates Saint Erasmus on 2 June; for the feast of Saint Joseph, some devotees still prepare a soup following a 16th-century recipe, once distributed to the poor, while every other year the town re-enacts its founding, which took place on 18 March 1517 under the Beccadelli family.
