On 19 February, the day of his death, Noto carries in procession the silver urn with the relics of Saint Conrad, the hermit from Piacenza who ended his days here in 1351.

The patron of Noto is Saint Conrad Confalonieri, born at Calendasco near Piacenza in 1290 and died in Noto on 19 February 1351, after a life as a penitent, Franciscan tertiary, pilgrim and hermit. The feast falls on the very day of his death: solemn services and the procession of the silver urn that holds his relics.

The saint also has a second feast, called the summer one, traditionally held in August. Beside him the town venerates the Madonna della Scala, patron of the diocese and co-patron of Noto. And in May comes the Infiorata, the flower festival born in 1980 from the meeting of Noto's flower artists with those of Genzano di Roma.
