The patron saint of Castelfiorentino is Saint Verdiana, celebrated on 1 February; the Museo di Santa Verdiana is dedicated to the saint, housed in the ancient monastery where she lived as a recluse.
The municipal territory also holds the Collegiate Church of Santi Lorenzo e Leonardo and the Pieve dei Santi Ippolito e Biagio. Throughout the year, the town hosts numerous traditional events, including the Ca*Stellare town palio, the Agricolando farming festival at Dogana and the Valdelsa River Trophy, a regatta with handcrafted boats on the Elsa river.
