Our Lady of the Assumption, patroness of a Romanesque town between Umbria and the Tiber
📅 Every year, on 15 August
Lugnano in Teverina celebrates Our Lady of the Assumption on 15 August; its Romanesque collegiate church, built between the 11th and 12th centuries over an earlier 9th-century structure, holds fine Cosmatesque mosaics and once gathered the whole town's population.
