The patron of San Giovanni Ilarione is Saint Catherine of Alexandria, celebrated on 25 November.
The calendar of feasts is rich: on 2 February, the Sagra della Seriola is held at Castello, on 14 February the Sagra di San Valentino at Cattignano, and on the last Sunday of Carnival, a notable float parade with a prize for the best float. The second Sunday after Easter brings the Sagra di San Zeno, also at Castello. The town also holds the Church of San Benedetto.
