The patron of Villeneuve is Saint Blaise, celebrated on 3 February.
The evening the village waits for, though, is the Fiha di barmé — in the local patois the feast of the barmé — when the winegrowers open their cellars, dug into the crevices of an ancient landslide on which the village itself is built. Above the houses, on a crag, stand the ruins of Châtel-Argent.
