The patron saint of Anzi is Saint Donatus, celebrated on 7 August, in the mother church of Piazza Dante, rebuilt in the 19th century on the pre-existing 16th-century structure. A hamlet of the municipality also bears the saint's name, in memory of a chapel dedicated to him.
A deeply felt tradition in Anzi is the bonfires of Saint Anthony, a feast in the saint's honour celebrated on 12 and 13 June: the youths of the town's various districts are involved, already from May, in gathering the broom that will fuel the bonfires. The town also preserves the church of Santa Maria, atop Monte Siri, which houses 16th-century frescoes by Todisco and a late-Gothic portal from 1525, and the Romanesque-Gothic church of Santa Lucia, with a medieval holy water font.
