The patron saint of Pietragalla is Saint Theodosius the martyr, whose liturgical date falls in October, but whose feast has been moved to 10 May. Every morning, starting from the week before the feast, fireworks displays are held, and between 8 and 10 May the town band parades through the streets: both on the afternoon of the preceding day and on the feast day itself, the saint's statue is carried in procession.
Pietragalla preserves traces of its history at the archaeological site of Monte Torretta, in the Palazzo Ducale, and in the Farming Civilisation House-Museum, as well as the distinctive urban park of the Palmenti, ancient cellars carved into the rock in the hamlet of Casalaspro.
