Province: Imperia · Region: Liguria · Population: 424 · Postal code: 18020

In the summer of 1624, the story goes, Antoon Van Dyck painted a Holy Family on rough canvas and gave it to the country church of Sant'Anna; today the picture is in the parish church of Moltedo, and recent scholarship attributes it to Jan Roos, who was Van Dyck's collaborator. Both of them were in Liguria in those years.

The bell tower of the parish church, raised between 1804 and 1806 by the Swiss master mason Ignazio Monti, is at forty-nine metres the tallest in the valley. And there is a symmetry: in 1928 Vasia took Prelà Castello, that is, the castle that gives the neighbouring municipality its name. The population is 424.
