The patron saint of Vasia is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January, in the parish church dedicated to him in the main town, of 15th-century origin and reworked in the Baroque style during 1640. Its bell tower, built between 1804 and 1806 by the Swiss master builder Ignazio Monti, stands 49 metres tall, the tallest in the valley; the three-nave interior preserves two polyptychs from the 15th and 16th centuries.
In the summer of 1624, Anthony van Dyck painted on rough canvas the famous Holy Family, donating it precisely to this church: the work is now in the parish church of San Bernardo di Moltedo, and has more recently been attributed to Jan Roos, a celebrated collaborator of Van Dyck, both active in Liguria in the same period. Vasia also preserves the parish church of Santi Giacomo e Filippo, in the hamlet of Prelà Castello, originally a medieval baptismal pieve built by the Benedictine monks of the abbey of Lérins and completely rebuilt in the 16th century.
