What to see · Varazze

The red bell tower is 14th-century; the church was rebuilt in 1535, the facade in 1916.

Consecrated in 1750 above Varazze, with an Agati-Tronci organ and Blessed Jacopo on the façade.

Deconsecrated in 1959 as the hillside crept: the night moaning was barn owls under the roof.

The statue of the blessed faces the lanes; the frescoed coat of arms faces the sea.

The study where Francesco Cilea worked survives untouched; the garden only in part.
