The patroness of Vigliano Biellese is Saint Mary Assumed into Heaven, celebrated on 15 August, with the church dedicated to her at the heart of the town. Another deeply felt observance is the feast of Saint Michael, in late September: during the celebrations the town's main street is closed to traffic and hosts stalls and artists performing in the street, reviving an old tradition that was fading away.
Among the other local traditions, the Saint Lucy market stands out, on 13 December. The town also preserves the memory of its history in the war memorial and in Villa Era, while the Cineteatro Erios is today one of the town's main cultural venues.
