The patrons of Cherasco are the Risen Christ, Saint Virginius and Saint Euflamia, celebrated on the second Monday after Easter.
In the church of Sant'Agostino, built in 1672 to a design by Giovenale Boetto and frescoed by Sebastiano Taricco and Giovanni Carlo Aliberti, stands the wooden statue of the Risen Christ, the work of Stefano Maria Clemente, alongside that of Christ at the Column by Carlo Giuseppe Plura and an altarpiece with the Massacre of the Innocents by Bartolomeo Caravoglia. Another historic church in the town is that of San Pietro, from the 12th-13th centuries, which keeps its Romanesque façade, rare in Piedmont, though the interior was reworked in the 18th century.
